Words have great weight in our spouses’ lives. Use them graciously. Speak to your spouse with encouragement. Balance truth and correction with grace and encouragement.

Marriages never end overnight. There are always a series of events and decisions that lead to a broken relationship. You have to catch these little foxes early, so small problems do not become big catastrophic issues in your marriage.

There is, perhaps, nothing more constant than the day-to-day requirement of extending patience in marriage.

You have been brought together by God. Don’t underestimate the wonderful things He can bring to your marriage. He can help you start being intentional in your marriage and more communicative.

Please Lord, help me to know what to say to my spouse. I don’t want to go to bed angry because I know that will only cause more problems to arise. Equip me with the words to say and allow me to extend forgiveness to my spouse.
