Lisa’s dedication and love for music remind us that we can put our minds to anything and dedicate it back to God. He will use whatever we offer Him for His purposes. The Detty Sisters deliver a beautiful cover of “I’ll Take the Old Highway.” This is a precious video of sweet girls singing together. 

As stunning videography reveals four girls in pink dresses, the group begins to walk down an old road in the countryside. The youngest girl begins to sing confidently on the road and in front of a small church. The next youngest girl starts a solo and has an adorable personality that shines through. The song tells of the other roads they could take, but they choose to take the highway with the redeemed.

The oldest sister leads the chorus as all four sisters join in. The younger girls play around together in their cute dresses. The older girls perform confidently. The sisters are singing the gospel of Jesus. It is a narrow path. You can see their mom with a new baby girl in the background. What a joyful sight, seeing generations sing about following Christ, even when it looks different from the world around us.

How has the enemy tempted you to walk the easy path today? How can this message from this classic song remind you to take the narrow path with the help of Christ? Country music legend Wynonna Judd gave a mesmerizing and stunning cover performance of Patsy Cline’s classic tune, “Crazy.”

Country music is a beloved genre. Country music fans are some of the most dedicated and passionate fans you’ll ever encounter. Saying a negative word about legendary musicians such as Merle Haggard, Willie Nelson, Hank Williams, Johnny Cash, Loretta Lynn, Tammy Wynette and others could land you in a world of hurt.

That group of musicians are beloved figures in country music and are generally appreciated by all music fans. You don’t have to be a country music fan to admire and respect the talent involved in Johnny Cash’s “Ring of Fire” or Loretta Lynn’s “Coal Miner’s Daughter.” 

The late Patsy Cline is another individual considered a giant in the country music world. Of course, her most famous tune is the beloved and iconic song “Crazy.” From the tune’s opening notes, everyone instantly recognizes that song. 

Wynonna gives a stunning rendition of Patsy's beloved song in a clip posted by “Everybody Loves Raymond” actress Patricia Heaton on social media. It’s a marvelous cover and one that you’ll want to hear repeatedly.

The song's opening verse is so simple yet so memorable.

According to Patricia’s caption, Wynonna’s stellar vocal performance took place at the legendary Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, Tennessee. It was an evening where Patsy’s musical contributions to country music were honored and celebrated. 

That evening appears to have been a star-studded event. Patricia’s posts show that several truly talented people got on stage to pay tribute to the legendary Patsy Cline. 

Events like those are good because it’s always a good thing to remember those who came before us and not forget their contributions.

Television show host and survival expert Bear Grylls surprised many with a touching performance of the beloved hymn “Seek Ye First.”

Everyone has a busy life, with family and work obligations pulling people in 100 different directions. Family is a necessary part of life. It would be nearly impossible to go through life without loved ones around you willing to help and lend a hand. Family and friends make life a better, fuller and richer experience; there is no argument against that statement. 

However, while family and loved ones are significant parts of everyone’s life, they are not supposed to be the most important thing. God is supposed to be the central figure, the main focus of our lives. In the New Testament, in Matthew, Jesus made this clear. He said we must first seek God and His righteousness before anything else.

In a clip posted on social media, Bear, known for his television shows and survival instincts, puts on a musical performance, singing the hymn “Seek Ye First.” Not only does he sing, but he also records himself playing the piano.

“Seek ye first the kingdom of God

And His righteousness

And all these things shall be added unto you

Hallelu, Hallelujah!”

Bear's wonderfully moving rendition of the hymn shows that he has been blessed musically. However, he apparently doesn’t think too highly of his musical abilities. 

In the caption to the video, Bear wrote, “Trip down memory lane singing kids faith songs! (Singing/playing badly but it makes me happy!)”

God has blessed and touched our lives in many ways. But we must never become more concerned about, interested in or focused on life’s blessings than about God. It’s easy to get sidetracked or have our focus shift elsewhere. However, God must always remain priority number one in our lives.

Matthew 6:33 “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you.”

Chris Stapleton’s stirring cover of “I Hope You Dance” is wholly different from the version we all know and love, but this rendition is way worth the listen!

Lee Ann Wommack released her version of the crossover country pop song in 2000. It often reminds listeners of what they might hope for their children.

Lee Ann’s “I Hope You Dance” music video featured her real-life daughters, Aubrie and Anna Lise, now 33 and 25, respectively. Her recording is slightly faster and more melodic. Sons of the Desert join Lee Ann Wommack, along with an orchestra. 

However, Chris Stapleton’s acoustic cover is sedate, raw, and bluesy.

His performance is perhaps the counterpart to the original—an opportunity to express the same desires for the boy offspring of the world. In reality, though, the song wasn’t penned with a parental relationship in mind. Written by Mark D. Sanders and Tia Sillers, the song “urges listeners to take chances, step out of their comfort zones, and cherish the moments that truly matter.”

The song ‘Heaven On Earth’ from the Newsboys is part of their new studio album that is coming out this year. The band will release the collection of songs in two parts. Part I comes out on July 19, 2024, and Part II releases on October 18, 2024.

Bryan Olesen turned in an unforgettable and awe-inspiring cover performance of “Africa,” wowing the studio audience and the judges on The Voice.

Programs like American Idol, America’s Got Talent and The Voice are fantastic shows because they give people who have been overlooked an opportunity to achieve their dreams. Sometimes, that is all someone needs. A chance to perform in front of and impress the right people could change their lives forever.

In addition to allowing individuals to chase and fulfill their dreams, those shows do something else. They let the studio audience and everyone watching at home hear different interpretations and takes on classic and beloved tunes. Some of them work, even matching the original, and other times they don’t so much.

But you only know once you try, right?

Well, Bryan Olesen, a contestant on The Voice, is one of those people who is hoping to make his musical aspirations and dreams a reality. In his latest appearance on the popular program, he gave his take on the beloved Toto song from the 1980s, “Africa.”

It was an outstanding performance in which he owned the stage, thrilling and treating the studio audience and the judges. Seconds after he began singing, several in the audience started shouting and cheering joyfully.

How can you not enjoy the original and Bryan’s take on the tune? The song’s chorus is so incredibly catchy!

Two unbelievably talented brothers, the Gardiner Brothers, pulled off a dazzling and quick-footed dance routine to “December 1963 (Oh, What a Night).”

Hundreds and possibly even thousands of songs are produced and released yearly. Most of those tunes are only ever heard by the creator. Those songs that do make it onto the radio or gain a sizable audience on Spotify or Apple Music are then quickly forgotten. 

Some songs created by well-known musicians might be remembered for several months or even years later. But eventually, they are forgotten, with audiences moving on to the next latest and greatest sound. 

However, some songs are so memorable and iconic that they withstand the test of time. These songs, remembered and beloved decades after their initial release, are often called classics. Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons produced a handful of tunes that have since become classics, including “December 1963 (Oh, What a Night ).”

In a clip posted on social media, Mike and Matthew Gardiner put on a stunning and synchronized dance routine to “December 1963 (Oh, What a Night ).” Once again, as is usual with these guys, it’s a performance you will not want to miss.

Their routine is simply captivating. Their quick and perfectly timed moves demand your attention, capturing it and do not let go. Likely, you’ll find yourself watching the clip multiple times for their dance steps and because of the iconic song.

That beat and those lyrics are incredibly catchy. If you hear them once, you’ll sing and hum them for the rest of the day. 

Their Instagram page states that the Gardiner Brothers are five-time World Champion Irish dancers. On that page, you will also find the guys showing off their dance skills to dozens of other beloved songs.

One young man, Innocent Masuku, left the four judges on Britain's Got Talent stunned with his beautiful operatic voice and performance.

Talent can come from anywhere and everywhere. The good Lord has blessed everyone with different gifts, skills and abilities. People who have been written off or told that, for one reason or another, they aren’t good enough can leave people stunned and surprised if they are given the opportunity.

Shows like The Voice, American Idol, America’s Got Talent and the British version – Britain's Got Talent - have helped to uncover some of that previously undiscovered talent. Most individuals seek a chance to demonstrate their skills or abilities. All someone may need is a word of encouragement to help them soar and reach their potential.

Innocent Masuku informed the judges that he had previously been told that he should give up singing opera and that he’d never make it performing that kind of music. That individual could not have been more wrong. 

Innocent put on an absolutely stunning vocal performance, singing opera. Anytime someone tries opera, it will go one of two ways. It will either be horrible and downright painful to listen to or one of the most beautiful things you’ve ever heard. Innocent’s operatic audition was outstanding.

The entire audience was stunned and captivated from the instant he opened his mouth and began singing the opening notes. They could not believe their ears. It was a delightful and magnificent performance no one wanted to end. 

All four judges gave the young man, originally from South Africa, high praise, and rightfully so, for his astounding audition. While all of them were effusive with their praise, Amanda gave Innocent the highest compliment.

“Hands down, in the 17 years that we’ve been doing Britain’s Got Talent, you are by far the best opera singer that we’ve ever had,” she said.

Of course, they all gave the young yes votes. However, it was stunning that none reached over and gave Innocent a Golden Buzzer. He was certainly deserving of it.

Brothers Of The Heart’s Stunning Rendition Of ‘Blue Eyes Crying In The Rain’ 

A group of unbelievably talented musicians, Brothers of the Heart, turned in a stunning rendition of “Blue Eyes Crying in the Rain.”

Everyone will experience hurt in life. Life is often a struggle, full of hardships and trials. No one walking on this Earth will leave unscathed. Those trying situations will leave their scars and marks, whether physical or emotional.

But despite all the hurt and heartache that people typically experience in life, there are some truly beautiful moments. While God does not promise life will be easy, He touches and blesses our lives in many ways. One way He pours out His blessings is through our relationships with other people.

One of the absolute best things about life is marriage. Finding someone to spend, enjoy and experience life with is unlike anything else. A good and healthy marriage relationship creates a setting of stability, comfort and love for both individuals and children, resulting from that bond. 

But, sadly, like everything else on Earth, nothing lasts forever. God gives us a marriage partner for only a short time. Eventually, death comes for all of us, including our spouses. But death does not have to be and is not the end for those who follow Christ. It’s nothing but a temporary separation.

Brothers of the Heart give a dazzling cover performance of “Blue Eyes Crying in the Rain,” a song previously recorded by Willie Nelson. The tune is about losing a spouse but looking forward to reuniting in a land without separation.

Like everything God gives, time with our spouses should be honored and cherished. We can never be sure when that last moment will arrive.

A 6-year-old girl approached a man playing the piano and requested a song from the movie “Frozen.” Then, she captivated travelers when she unexpectedly started singing.

Talent can come from anywhere and everywhere. Shows like American Idol, America’s Got Talent, and The Voice prove that statement. People continually blow the judges away with their unexpected God-given skills and talent. 

God has blessed people with a variety of gifts and skills. Everyone has something to contribute and a purpose. If given the chance to show what they have, they might surprise you, turn heads and change minds. 

No one should ever be written off or ignored because of their age or other factors they cannot control. A clip posted on YouTube shows that the young lady turned several heads and even caused some people to tear up because of her beautiful singing voice.

The clip begins with the child excitedly approaching the man playing the piano in the Warsaw airport. With a massive smile, she asks the pianist, “Can you play ‘Let It Go’?”

The man starts playing the requested tune as several travelers look on in confusion, and no one is sure what is about to happen. Little do they know that they are about to be treated to an outstanding vocal performance from a child.

As the young lady reaches the song’s memorable and iconic chorus, more and more people stop to take in the musical performance, many filming the special moment.

The pianist who posted the video wrote in the clip’s description that the young woman’s voice almost moved him to tears. He added that he “didn’t expect that she would start singing.”

The exceptional performance ends with a well-deserved round of applause and the young woman giving the man on the piano a warm embrace.

Everyone wants to be an actor or a musician or work in the entertainment field in some capacity. The popularity and competitive nature of shows like American Idol, America’s Got Talent and The Voice prove this to be 100% true. It’s a highly competitive field with many people desperately trying to break in and get a chance to prove themselves.

Even on those popular talent shows, there is only ever one winner. Thousands try out, hoping to make it onto the show, but only one person wins the top spot. Nathan Cheste performed the song “Fooled Around And Fell In Love” in the Knockout rounds on The Voice, and it was such a treat!

Christian musicians Ben Fuller and Megan Danielle have teamed up for a stunning and powerful duet, “If I Got Jesus.”

The world is a lost and dying place full of hurting and struggling people who are crying out for some sign that things will get better. They are looking for hope and love, someone to show that they care about them. 

Thankfully for us and everyone else in the world, there is one who can do all that and more. Jesus Christ paid the price, willingly going to the cross. The repercussions of His brutal and agonizing death and resurrection give hope to a tired, lost and weary world. 

Christ freely offers His love and forgiveness to all who call upon His name. It’s a gift that transforms hearts and lives. Without Jesus Christ, none of us would have a chance. We would all be lost, still living in our sin and shame. 

In a clip posted on social media, Ben and Megan, a runner-up on American Idol, sing “If I Got Jesus.” It’s a beautifully written song about the difference Christ has made in their life and how if they lost everything but still had Him, they’d have all they need.

“There’s a hope that’s living deep inside

A joy that I could never hide

And a safe place to fall

If I’ve got Jesus, I’ve got it all”

Both musicians turn in charming and stellar vocal performances as they sing about the wonderful and life-changing work of Jesus Christ. 

“If I Got Jesus” is a powerful song that will likely make you consider whether you have that same attitude. What would happen, and how would we react if, like Job, everything was taken away? Would we respond like Job did? It’s certainly something to think about.

Music is near and dear to many people. Everyone has their favorite genre, band, singer and song. Musical tastes are personal, and when someone criticizes or says something that could be interpreted as unfavorable about a song or a band that we like, we tend to take that personally. 

Every genre of music has avid and passionate fans. However, country music has arguably the most committed, passionate and sincere supporters. As such, there are some country music artists about whom you should not say a negative word unless you want to bring on the wrath of country music fans. Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, Merle Haggard and Loretta Lynn are just some of those musicians who are off-limits in terms of criticism. 

Hank Williams, a legendary country musician, is one of those performers who would qualify for that exclusive category. That also means that when trying to cover a song by one of those artists, the person doing it better bring their best effort or they will likely hear about it.

Kelly is such a talented musician that she can sing tunes that others simply cannot or should not attempt. She also makes it appear effortless, seeming never to strain or try too hard to hit some of those higher notes.

Longtime Hollywood actor Dennis Quaid delivered a mesmerizing cover of the beloved hymn "I’ll Fly Away.”

No one is destined to remain on Earth forever. Everyone’s time on this planet is limited. Sin was unleashed on the world with a bite of the fruit back in the Garden of Eden, and now all will face death at one time or another. It’s a sad and ironic part of life.  

However, the death of one’s physical body is most certainly not the end. After one’s time on Earth has expired, there are two destinations available, and we have a decision to make as to which place we go. Heaven has been set aside for those who have confessed their sins, accepted Christ into their hearts and lives, and turned away from their old ways, becoming new creatures in Christ.

While death is and likely always will be one of people’s greatest fears, it doesn’t have to be that way. There is much uncertainty surrounding death. However, as actor Dennis Quaid sings in a clip posted on YouTube, that does not have to be the case. 

Dennis performs an upbeat and energetic cover of the timeless and beloved tune “I’ll Fly Away.” It’s a song about knowing death is coming but looking at it joyfully because they know where they are headed once their life on Earth is over and done.

Everyone feels like they have plenty of time on Earth left. We may have decades or a few days – no one can be entirely sure how long their lives will last. No one is promised tomorrow. Why put accepting Christ and welcoming Him into your heart and life off?
