Edward Hopson is the owner of Hopson Communications & Coaching, LLC, a business coaching, consulting, and public speaking firm that offers managerial training programs focused on the development of entrepreneurs, business owners, and professionals. Hopson has 25 years of experience working with businesses, commercial and residential real estate financing projects, and economic development programs throughout Ohio and other parts of the country.
Career positions and accomplishments include:
- Assistant vice president, business banker at National City Bank and Chase Bank.
- Licensed mortgage loan officer and commercial loan broker (specialty in SBA loans, investment real estate, and start-up financing.
- Founder of one of Akron’s first micro-enterprise loan funds, manager of a business incubator, and part-time instructor at The University of Akron

An award-winning speaker and published author of business-oriented topics, he has been featured on radio and television and at local and national business conferences, trade association meetings, and community events including the Christian Business Men's Connection of Hudson. Hopson attended The University of Akron and Indiana Wesleyan University and holds associates and bachelor’s degrees in Business Administration and Management. He is currently pursuing his master’s degree in Management.
